Will deScinerNet™ accept any advertiser or campaign?

No, our network has been built with science and technology advertisers and publishers in mind. We believe that the best results for all involved will be achieved by maintaining the relevancy of content and advertising message. Therefore, if you are not a science and technology advertiser, or specifically interested in this sector, then deScinerNet™ is not for you.

Are there any set-up costs?

No, there are no set-up costs for either our publishers or advertisers.

What revenue models do you work on?

We work on a CPM model with all our publishers and advertisers.

I already have some ads running on my site, can I still join deScinerNet™?

Yes - this is a non-exclusive agreement so you can join our network and run our ads alongside any other ad providers and networks.

Can I control the price of the ads on my site?

Yes, you can set a minimum price for the ads sold on to your website - Adify will help you do this. This means that if you are running ads from another provider you can set your inventory to only sell for "at least" this price - ensuring that you always make the most revenue available.

What are the terms of the publisher agreement?

The standard terms and conditions must be adhered to. In the main we ask that you make a minimum of one standard-sized ad space available on your website and that you maintain the accuracy and quality of your content.

Do I need to display advertising to be part of the network?

To be part of deScinerNet™ Science Network, you need to place our tags on your site. However, if we do not have any paying ads in the system, or if you are achieving higher revenue from another ad provider, then you can specify a default ad or redirect to run in its place.

What ad formats can I use?

deScinerNet™ promotes the use of the following standard and Rich Media ad sizes (px): 468x60, 120x600, 160x600, 728x90 and 300x250.

Who will host and serve the ads?
Our technology partner Adify will host and serve all the ads.

Can I control which brands will advertise on my website?

Yes, you will have complete control on all advertising creative that runs on your website. We ask that you accept or reject ad creative within four days, after which we will make a judgement on your behalf.

What types of sites get accepted?

We select sites, big and small. They must however contain high quality sector-focused content that meets both the standards of our editorial teams and the requirements of our editors. When you submit your site, our team will review your application to determine whether it is appropriate for the network. Your site will be approved within 5 business days of your application.

How do I get paid?

Currently, you will be paid net 30 days after the advertising running on your site. Payments will come from Adify. If your net 90 day revenue does not meet the minimum payment amount of £50, this revenue will roll over to the following month, until the aggregate payment owed to you is £100.

How do I submit my site?

You will need to create a Publisher Account with us by registering online, then submit an application for each web site you wish to sign up through your account. Click here to start your registration process.
